Disclosure of content and methodology is restricted to authorized requests. This proprietary approach facilitates the generation of comprehensive impact assessment documents tailored to individual researchers, while simultaneously synthesizing trends in recent research topics, utilizing fine-tuned large language models. These assessment documents have demonstrated significant utility for researchers within the Cumming School of Medicine in the preparation of grant and award applications. Because I am currently a CSM employee, I would not disclose the method/approach to the public in order to retain our lead in medical research and education.
About the Project
The significance of research impact cannot be overstated, as it serves to illustrate the potential tangible advantages and societal importance of proposed research to funding bodies, thereby warranting the financial allocation. Moreover, it facilitates the articulation of a precise pathway to impact, enhances research proposals, and augments the probability of funding acquisition. The development of a research impact report for grant or award applications may present considerable difficulties for numerous researchers, particularly when starting without existing material. This project aims to address a significant challenge faced by researchers. Utilizing established bibliometric indicators, impact metrics, interdisciplinary collaboration measures, academic-industrial partnership assessments, and innovation indices, a comprehensive impact assessment document will be generated. This document will be created through the application of fine-tuned large language models and will integrate all pertinent indicators and records. It focuses on diverse aspects of research impact, synthesizing how individual past research aligns with current trends in research topics. Although the model-generated document requires refinement, it provides researchers with an initial framework for drafting impact statements to enhance competition submissions.
